The Ben Elliott Memorial Scholarship
Ben was one of MindRise Learning’s first students. Along with his twin brother Alex, he came to MindRise as an elementary student to improve his reading skills. Ben’s quiet yet humorous personality quickly won over hearts at MindRise. He faced challenges with curiosity, perseverance, and joy, and it wasn’t long until he and his brother were excelling at reading and writing. Ben was always known for his smile, his jokes, and his enthusiasm to learn about the world around him.
Ben passed away on February 26, 2026, after a courageous three-year battle with Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumor of the brain and spine.
To honor his memory, the Ben Elliott Memorial Scholarship Fund has been established under MindRise Foundation, a Florida nonprofit corporation (501(c)(3) status pending). This fund will provide financial support for students in need of reading intervention who might otherwise be unable to access these services.
