Screening and Intake for Tutoring Services

The first step in deciding whether MindRise Learning is right for your student is to schedule an intake appointment. At the intake, the Director will administer a variety of screening tools to assess the student’s strengths and weaknesses. The activities are done in an encouraging, low-stress environment. At a follow-up meeting, the Director will explain the screening tools used, specific strengths and weaknesses, and discuss intervention options. This intake will not provide an official diagnosis.

Individual Tutoring Sessions

Individual sessions are one-on-one with a trained tutor and are generally about 55-60 minutes long. Students with language-based learning barriers learn best with this sort of one-on-one instruction, especially when it is frequent, consistent, and highly structured.

Semi-Private Tutoring Sessions

Your student may thrive with a small group of 1-2 other students when the Director deems it a fit.

Online Tutoring

While in-person, hands-on sessions are generally ideal, there are situations that make online tutoring the best avenue. MindRise ensures that the online tutoring experience is engaging and effective.
